What to Bring

Clothes
For morning sessions: simple dresses, skirts, skirts or dress slacks and tops.
For dinner: simple dresses or skirts and blouses.
Bring comfortable walking shoes.
For lnauguration Ceremony (Thursday), a simple white dress or white blouse/top and white skirt, white shoes.
NO jeans or shorts will be allowed during classes or assemblies.
NO HALTER TOPS

Necessities
Towels, washcloths, soap, clothes hangers, toilet articles, bed linens and alarm clock. A flash- light and blanket if you wish. Please note that all dormitories are air conditioned.

Campaign Material
NO PREPARED MATERIALS can be brought to Girls State. Please bring any supplies you think you will need such as poster paper, markers, scotch tape, etc. Signs and posters are to be made after you file for office. The Country Store and University Campus Shop carries limited supplies. NOTE: The University has requested that no tape be used on the walls. Please bring reusable adhesive (i.e. HandiTak).

Talent
There will be talent at the assemblies. lf you wish to participate, bring your costumes, instruments, sheet music, tapes, etc. with you. (lf you play the trumpet, two players are needed for the Inauguration Ceremony - bring your trumpet.)
